Matt Dougherty

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. I don't think I ever really got good (or completely inspired) until I went to college and was exposed to a whole new world of influences and mediums to work with. Since then I've had my work shows all over the US. 

I work with just about any medium I can find. Guache, pen and ink and colored pencil are the current weapons of choice. 

My influences are also constantly in flux. Everything from birds, to horror icons to cartoons ends up on paper or canvas.

I'm still learning and pushing myself. I never want to stop growing as an artist. I think some of my best work comes from working outside my comfort zone
